This simulation window shows an animated setting featuring a road crossing (or
intersection) with a traffic light control. Even though traffic lights play an important
role in our daily routine both as pedestrians and as drivers and it may sound senseless to
explain their functions, we still want to make some general comments to better explain
the problem of traffic light control.
